Will stronger gun reform legislation aid in reducing violent crimes? Or will it simple disarm, and penalize, lawful gun-owners placing 2nd Amendment rights under siege.
Regardless of which side of the debate you find yourself on, you’ve inevitably found your television viewing, newspaper reading and social media newsfeed inundated with story of student walkouts such as this:
Undoubtedly, we all have our own unique perspectives on the issue, and with the divided nature of our national community. This is echoed in many households, with parents and children finding themselves on different sides of the argument in a manner unseen since the Vietnam era. And with liberal media outlets such as CNN and more conservative venues such as FOX News, fanning the flame, can we even trust anything other than own beliefs? Can’t we just simply focus on the safety of our children, without turning the crosshairs on legal gun owners?
Ford Motor Company thinks that we can.
Putting their money where their mouth is, Ford has offered up hundreds of 2018 Ford Explorers to students nationwide, in an effort to safely transport them to and from protest rallies.
In a recently held press conference, Ford CEO James Hackett explained, “Listen. We’re Ford. If we’re going to claim to be America’s truck than we need to represent Americans everywhere. And let’s be honest, we’ve basically been the unofficial truck of the NRA-loving, tobacco-spitting, moonshine-running, NASCAR-frequenting, “Hoo-Haw”ing for decades. Hell, every one of our pick-up trucks from 1958 to 1982 came with the option of sliding rear-window -or- rear-window gun rack. No questions asked.”
“The way I see it, the least we can do is help these kids do what they’ve got to do. I mean, listen, it ain’t gonna change nothing. But just like some people are saying that you need to be on the right side of history, automakers need to be on the right side of the next generation of drivers.”
We attempted to reach the Ford’s Director Marketing, Satan, but he was otherwise occupied.
